पुच्छेऽग्निश्च महेन्द्रश्च मरीचिः कश्यपो ध्रुवः। तारकाः शिशुमारश्च नास्तमेति चतुष्टयम् ।। ५२.९५ ।।
In the tail are Agni and Mahendra and Marīci, Kaśyapa, Dhruva; four of the Śiśumāra's stars do not set. — Literal rendering by the compiler

A recension-specific addition worth recording: Vāyu 52.95 and Brahmāṇḍa 1,23.104 insert Marīci into the tail-list (Agni, Mahendra, Marīci, Kaśyapa, Dhruva) where Viṣṇu P. 2.12.34 has only four names. Since the very next line still says only FOUR stars never set, the five-name list is in tension with its own following verse — evidence of textual growth. Distinct from Marīci as a Saptarṣi (Alkaid).
