षड्भयुतमूनमुदयैः षड्राशियुतं तदस्तमयसूर्यः । घटिकाद्वितयेनैवं षड्भागयुतेन मृगहर्तुः ॥ ३७ ॥

'The deer-snatcher' — a fourth Sanskrit name for Sirius, alongside Mṛgavyādha ('deer-hunter'), Lubdhaka ('hunter') and Bhāskara's Mṛgaripu ('the deer's enemy'). It occurs in the closing pāda of Bhagrahayutyadhikāra 37, and the edition's commentary glosses it in parentheses as (vyādhasya) and quotes the phrase back as Brahmagupta's own wording: 'ghaṭikādvitayenaiva ṣaḍbhāgayutena mṛgahartuḥ' — 'for the Deer-snatcher, by the same two ghaṭikās increased by a sixth' (= 13 kālāṃśas, versus 12 for Agastya).
