भरणीतिष्यसौम्यानि सौक्ष्म्यात् त्रिःसप्तकाम्शकैः / शेषाणि सप्तदशभिर् दृश्यादृश्यानि भानि तु //
15. Bharani, Pushya, and Mrgaçirsha, owing to their faintness, are seen at twenty-one degrees; the rest of the asterisms become visible and invisible at seventeen degrees. — E. Burgess (1860)

Deity-epithet name for Mṛgaśīrṣa, whose divinity is Soma; the same epithet is used at SS 8.16. Al-Bīrūnī's parallel faint-class list gives Alhakʿa (al-Haqʿa, the head of Orion, λ/φ¹/φ² Orionis), an exact independent match — and the Buddhist tradition also gives Mṛgaśirā the deity Soma and three head-stars.
